The Nazca Lines in southern Peru are a group of pre-Columbian geoglyphs etched into desert sands.We drove on the road cutting across the desert and we could only see the barren land. We went on a plane ride and the visuals change dramatically. The desert comes alive with animals and plants. Composed of over 10,000 lines some very wide. You wonder what these unusual patterns of lines mean? Were they to bring the alien ships to land? There are no town structures around, why did they come? How did the create all the large birds and animals in perfect proportions on land and why?
I was overwhelmed and felt insignificant in that large landscape. In awe, I took these photographs, a slice of human history. I was captivated by the colors and abstract lines in the late evening light.
